What is 'Potted Sports Day?'
"Potted sports started in about 1950 as a fundraiser for charity. It was a collection of silly sports such a cycle race riding backwards, flipping paper frogs with exercise books in a race, egg and spoon, sack jumping and so on. Entry was one penny per race.
It was called Potty Sport, soon changed to Potted Sport for obvious reason."
-Mrs Pamela Quin,
Former Headmistress
